MOBILE PATROLS

We have teams of SIA licensed security guards who patrol a series of construction sites during a shift. This can mean remaining in vehicles for simple security checks, or stopping and patrolling on foot.

The specifics of what is patrolled and checked is up to you. Our service is bespoke. We can go as far as you like, entering buildings, checking doors, windows and other potential access points. We can even lock up your site when you close and open it again before you open.

All of our security guards are SIA licensed, ensuring the quality of service. We have an extensive in-house training program which delivers highly trained guards. Our support team also run an industry-leading wellbeing program to ensure that our security guards are not only provided with everything they need to do the job but are happy and healthy at home. A distracted guard is not an effective guard, and we take great care to treat our employees as people, not just assets.

Once they have completed their basic training, new guards initially work with seasoned veterans until we are sure that they have sufficient experience to work alone, or with other non-veterans. For many clients, we combine our mobile security patrols with our keyholding service. Our security teams can perform the locking up and opening of your site under your specific operating hours.

Each year the construction industry in the UK is victim to approximately £800 million of losses thanks to vandalism and theft, according to a report from insurers Allianz Cornhill.

Their study shows that these huge losses are derived mostly from the costs of hiring replacement items, replacing those same items, business lost as a result, and increases in premiums from insurance companies.

Theft – The Chartered Institute of Building’s 2016 study on Crime in the Construction Industry reports that, of the 1,100 professionals surveyed from the construction sector, 21% had suffered theft the week they were surveyed. If that wasn’t bad enough, a massive 92% reported that they suffered from theft on an annual basis, with many experiencing it on a weekly or monthly basis!

Vandalism – Reported in the same CIOB study, 91% or participants surveyed stated that they had been the victims of vandalism. Fences and locks may put off the casual intruder, but to deter hardened criminals and prevent serious equipment damage, a CCTV Tower is essential.
